Research Interests:
Polymer physics and engineering of cellular and environmental systems
Wei-Chun Chin's research is on polymer physics and engineering has been focused on two major areas: marine microgels and airway mucus. These two research areas seem unrelated on the surface; however, the underlined mechanism is highly connected, i.e. gel formation/dispersion in aqueous environment (seawater and body fluids). This unique approach has attracted intense research interests and generated numerous thought-provoking outcomes.
